Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu, is a vibrant metropolis that beautifully blends tradition with modernity. In july 1966 the Government of Tamil nadu officially changed the name from Madras to Chennai .The city is home to iconic attractions like the sprawling Marina Beach, one of the longest urban beaches in the world, and majestic temples such as the Kapaleeshwarar Temple, showcasing stunning Dravidian architecture. Chennai is a cultural hub, with a deep connection to classical music, dance, and Tamil literature. It is famous for its Carnatic music concerts, the Bharatanatyam dance form, and the annual Madras Music Season. The city is also a center for education and research, housing prestigious institutions like IIT Madras.
